Scottsdale is a desert city in Arizona east of state capital Phoenix. It’s known for its spa resorts and golf courses, including TPC Scottsdale. Farther north, trails wind through McDowell Sonoran Preserve, a desert scape of hills, rock formations and cacti. Nearby is Taliesin West, architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s former home and studio. Downtown’s Old Town Scottsdale has 1920s buildings and 19th-century olive trees.
I have to add this, Old Town Scottsdale has their own Trolley System.
It isn’t difficult to spot the Scottsdale Trolley, those purple- and gold-hued buses that provide free rides to residents and visitors alike.
But what many don’t realize is once per month, Ultimate Art and Cultural Tours hosts the Downtown Scottsdale Art & Cultural Trolley Tour from these air-conditioned trolleys — also free of charge.
“This is a very high-end city and our transportation is free and you don’t have to park. You just hop on, hop off,” said Ultimate Art and Cultural Tours President and tour guide Ace Bailey, who called the tour “amazing.”
